GENERAL RULES:    Teams consist of 3-5 players.  All players must bat, only 3 players are allowed in the field on defense, a pitcher and 2 fielders.  The team batting will supply the catcher.  Pegging (throwing the ball at the runner) is allowed and does count as an out.  Strike zone will be a set up lawn chair – if the pitch hits the back of the chair, it is a strike, if not it is a ball.  3rd pitch strike that hits the lawn chair counts as an out.  5 balls is a walk.  A cleanly fielded (no bobbling) ground ball is an out.  Games are limited to 6 innings or 45 minutes.  At the end of 45 minutes, the game is over.  TEAM CAPTAINS resolve disputes.  Field monitors will be on hand to keep score and keep the game moving; they do not settle rule or play disputes.

PITCHING:             Speed is slow/medium.  Fast pitching is not permitted.  Sidearm is allowed.  The pitcher will pitch from a designated mound.

BATTING:               Do not touch a ball that has been pitched to you.  If it is going to hit you, let it hit you, do not catch it.  You must have both feet in the batters box.  No bunts are allowed.

BASE RUNNING:   No leadoffs, no stealing bases.

TIME LIMIT:          Each game has a 45 minute time limit.  No new inning will begin after 40 minutes of play.
